🇬🇧After a beautiful night in Punta Balasto in the village park where we had camped, with drinkable water and a shelter to keep our tent dry from the rain, just no toilets but hey, it did the job for the night, we picked up our journey toward the south on the legendary Route 40, an extremely long straight road where the landscape looked like someone had pressed pause on reality, a scenery so repetitive it started to lull us to sleep, luckily our podcasts were fighting fiercely to keep our brains awake, the real fun began when we reached the turnoff for the hot springs of Los Nacimientos, that’s when the adventure truly starts, with three river crossings, mud everywhere, our bikes turning into rolling brownies, but the landscape was stunning all the way to the hot springs, completely alone in this slightly abandoned but perfectly functional spot, sitting at 2300 meters of altitude with water at 37 degrees, a true paradise to pitch the tent and forget that.
