[đŸ‡šđŸ‡”] On savait qu’on allait souffrir aujourd’hui

[🇬🇧] We knew today was going to be tough
but maybe not that tough 😅.

It all started with a demanding downhill ride that led to a bridge — let’s say, “questionably stable” — hanging over the Rio Pilcomayo.

Then came the real deal: the climb.

The heat was brutal, the sun relentless, and our water bottles were draining fast. We had packed 5 liters each for two days
turns out, that wasn’t nearly enough. 😬

Luckily, I managed to “hustle” some water from the only two cars we saw all day — bless those kind souls!

The climb just never seemed to end — 10 to 12 km of steep uphill, and to top it off, a landslide-blocked path forced us to backtrack.

By 4 p.m., completely wiped out, we decided to stop near Talahuanca Baja, hoping a truck might give us a lift to the next town
but of course, not a single vehicle showed up! 😂

So we pitched the tent, utterly exhausted but secretly thrilled — our backs and legs had never been so grateful.
