[🇨🇵] Nous débarquons du slow boat en fin d'après-midi à Houayxay, au Laos, et nous poussons pour passer la frontière Laos-Thaï au pont de l'amitié 4. Pour une fois, nous achetons notre paix auprès du douanier laotien en payant le frais de "overtime". Nous revoici en Thaïlande ! 4 mois plus tard. Tout au nord. Il nous reste 2 mois et demi pour vraiment profiter de ce pays. Nous passons notre 2e nuit dans un parc national, près d'une cascade. Seuls au monde, coupés d'internet, ce n'est que le lendemain que nous découvrirons qu'un puissant séisme a eu lieu en Birmanie, à environ 800km de là où nous étions. Nous découvrons rapidement les images d'horreur. Et les inquiétudes de nos proches, alors que nous n'avons rien senti. Cet événement nous rappelle la fragilité de la vie et le besoin de vivre nos rêves...

[🇬🇧] We disembark from the slow boat in the late afternoon in Houayxay, Laos, and push on to cross the Laos-Thailand border at the Fourth Friendship Bridge. For once, we buy our peace with the Laotian customs officer by paying the "overtime" fee. Here we are again in Thailand! Four months later. In the far north. We still have two and a half months to truly enjoy this country.

We spend our second night in a national park, near a waterfall. Completely alone, cut off from the internet, it is only the next day that we learn a powerful earthquake has struck Myanmar, about 800 km from where we were. We quickly discover the horrifying images—and the worries of our loved ones, while we hadn’t felt a thing. This event reminds us of the fragility of life and the need to live our dreams…
